And yeah, I didn't get past Twilight in that series, either. :)Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02515314638093018928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3649082967569605034.post-77291294575302194672009-04-12T04:57:00.000+01:002009-04-12T04:57:00.000+01:00Hi Simon, we haven't been in touch before but I ha...Hi Simon, we haven't been in touch before but I have been following your blog (and DGR's too) for some time and really enjoy hearing what you have to say about the books you read - so much so that I have set up my own blog! Perhaps I am the last person to do so, but I have just read Hilary Mantel's Beyond Black which is not really a book I would normally pick up but it appealed somehow. It was scary and thoroughly compelling at the same time and now after this review I have to add two more (and possibly four it appears) books to my tbr list! Thanks Simon ;-) And seriously, thanks for taking the time to write up your reviews, your comments have opened up all sorts of new reading interests for me.Kimhttp://kim-stillreading.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3649082967569605034.post-55484459781380764522009-04-11T15:18:00.000+01:002009-04-11T15:18:00.000+01:00I'm not a fan of science fiction, but some fantasy...I'm not a fan of science fiction, but some fantasy books are great - I do live a bit of magic!

This book sounds like great escapism - another one to add to the list!!

I haven't read Twilight yet, although I do have a copy here, so I can find out what it is all about. I don't think it will be great though.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07698068501004755678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3649082967569605034.post-45747515435379075542009-04-11T12:55:00.000+01:002009-04-11T12:55:00.000+01:00I have to agree with you on Twilight...the first o...I have to agree with you on Twilight...the first one was an indulgent walk through pubescence for me, but after that I got pretty tired of it pretty quick. I can't say that supernatural is my number one genre, but I have thoroughly enjoyed Harry Potter, anything Stephen King and Anne Rice. I will keep this one on my radar!Sandy Nawrothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00564390728106776030noreply@blogger.com
